Poll..........I love Gardenia's I haven't seen a beautiful Gardenia for such a long time♥?

oh, the smell of gardenia...its like an angel passing by...i haven't seen a gardenia since my friend passed away, a few years ago...he had an atrium, and tended them carefully....i would sit there and read for hours, just to engulfed in the scent....

I luv gardenias.I have one in my front garden(full sun )with about 50 blooms on it.The smell is intoxicating when I walk onto my porch.I have another in a big pot in my back garden.It is full of buds and should bloom in a week or so(part sun-morning shade). Keep it watered in summer and feed Miracle gro every 2 weeks
Reply:Mine are budding. Cousin's are ready to bloom. They root in water! cool, now where shall I plant them, hmmm. Want cuttings?
Reply:I love them too. I used to have one in our front yard when I was about 13. That was over a decade ago. I'd have to say that Peonies are my absolute favs, but Gardenias are definitely on my top 5.





In fact I wear Gardenia water. It's similar to Rose water and smells wonderful. I put it on every morning and it puts a smile on my face. It helps me get ready for the busy day.





When the botanical garden opens up for the season, I'll have to go now. You got me thinking about them and it's funny what you miss sometimes.

Reply:We had a small bush in a container a few years ago, but I think that is the last time I saw one. They are not the easies plant to grow.
