It´s 43 degrees outside. Is this too cold to put our gardenia plant outside?

no it will do fine. it is cold though, but as long as it doesnt get below freezing it is okay.it needs 60s for flowers, so once you start seeing warmer temperatures flowers which are very fragrant will be seen as well

Gardenia requirements are very exact, and to insure your plants continued bloom, these needs must be met.

Full sun, with some shading in the summer (in the hottest areas)

An acid soil with a pH between 5 and 6

Keep the soil moist, but never soggy

Humidity, or daily misting

Heavy feeding

**Cool night temperatures**
Reply:No, it likes cooler temps. But just don't let it get below 32 % with out covering the plant with a towel,or blanket.
