I brought a 2 ft potted gardenia and it is getting yellow leaves. Is it needing more water, or fertilizer?

Sounds like it needs fertilizer. Try Miracle Gro for flowering plants. I think yellow leaves are a sign of lack of iron, but the Miracle Gro should do the trick.

gardenias need acid. this can be done by a few not many coffee grinds, or a very little bit of lemon juice. add and water, and a week of two later add some plant food like miracle gor, which seems to be a good plant food for gardenias.

also stop the watering for a day or so unless warm
Reply:You might want to back off on the water for a week or two. Yellow leaves are one sign of overwatering.
