No, gardenias are safe.

Does anyone know if gardenia flower plants are poisonous to cats?
no they do not last year at Christmas they proved it on the news that they didn't harm animals what so ever
Reply:The thing with poisonous plants I found was the quantity! I researched the plants I had in my house and found one was poisonous. Upon further research I found that it was only poisonous if a certain amount was eaten. So I figured that by the cats weight and found the cat would have to eat ONE POUND of whatever it was that was poisonous for it to even affect the cat. However I wouldn't take any chances! But that is a good thing to know at least. One leaf wouldn't hurt them. And Gardenia is safe.
Reply:You can breath easy, gardenia's are most ceratinly NOT poisonous to you cat(s).
Reply:I don't know about gardenias, however, all types of lillies are very toxic and can kill your cat!
