How do you get the HM Cut on Pokemon Diamond/Pearl?

I would really like to know. I beat Gardenia and I need to save the Bike Shop Manager from Team Galactic but their HQ is blocked my three tiny trees. I need to teach one of my Pokemon Cut in order to save him and get a Bike. {I need a Bike to get to gym #3}

How do you get the HM Cut on Pokemon Diamond/Pearl?
You explore the northern area of Eterna, a gothic-looking chick will stop you

and notice your Pokedex. She'll ask you if Professor Rowan gave it to you.

Apparently her name is Cynthia. She says some other stuff too, but eventually

gives you HM01 (Cut).
Reply:you go to where the trees are and talk to this blond girl.she will give it to you. good luck!

How to grow healthy gardenias?

Gardenias like a very rich, acidic soil--use humus and well-rotted manure; keep soil moist but not wet. They are tender (root hardy but need to be covered during freezes). Best sun is part to full sun, with shade in late afternoon. Leaf yellowing is a sign of iron deficiency: use products like Ironite.

In Pokemon Diamond Version(DS), where are you supposed to find Gardenia's Trainers and battle them?

When you head to Eterna to battle the Gym Leader Gardenia, she tells you that you need to beat all her Gym Trainers. Then a man at the Gym's front room says,

"...I should tell you about the Gym itself first. You can't challenge the Gym leader until you find and beat all the Gym's Trainers who've hidden themselves."

Does anyone know where to find all of the Gym Trainers?

If so, can you tell me direct me to where they are?

Thanks!

In Pokemon Diamond Version(DS), where are you supposed to find Gardenia's Trainers and battle them?
all u have to do is find one cuz they pop out one at a time so find one and all it does is tell u where to find the next one after you beat the trainer it tells u where the next one is

the first one should be in the far left corner (bottem corner)

Best new plant. Which of the following would you like to see in your garden?

1. Camellia's that smell like gardenias.

2. Daisies that smell like spearmint (instead of old socks).

3. Lilacs with leaves that stay pretty all year. (Mine looks so bad right now).

4. Evergreens that get flowers.

Any other ideas?

Reply:gardinias are a very fragrant and pretty flower . One of my favorites. On the other hand, I grew up with lilac bushes all around the house and when may came, our house smelt so nice no matter which way the wind was blowing. Both plants are very strong and durable and ring in the summer with a bang. Have you considered planting all the ideas you had? You get the best of all worlds and hey , you can,t beat these plants for the beauty and aromas they all give off. The good thing about the evergreens is that when the others have gone into their winter mode, the evergreen is still there to block the wind and give winter bird food and a place to nest. Good choices.

I need to know how to care for my gardenia bush..?

I have a gardenia bush about three years old.. It wasn't doing very well in the place I planted it, so this spring I dug it up and moved it. In the beginning it did really well and developed buds for the first time, now the leaves are turning yellow, and falling off. I put it in full sun, but here in the state of Alabama the afternoon sun gets really hot. I'm wondering if this could be the cause of the yellowing leaves. My mother bought it for me, and I hate to lose it... Does anyone have any suggestions?

I need to know how to care for my gardenia bush..?
Gardenia bushes don't like hot sun, if your climate is hot, move it to morning sun only area.

Gardenias are evergreen shrubs, and they replace their leaves over the seasons. They take the choryphyll out of the leaves they don't want (old) and they drop off (just odd leaves at any site on the shrub), They turn yellow before they drop.

If only odd leaves turning yellow this is probably the case. No worries just natural.

If the leaves are burning too hot a site, move in winter. Gardenias are subject to deficencies eg Magnesium - the leaves loose part of the green in the leaves and you end up with a yellow leaf with green where the veins are for instance. If you have leaves like this take them to the local garden centre and they will sell you the right mineral etc to make them happy. If you want to help root growth and give a mild tonic use a sea weed extract (Seasol) - available at garden centres. Just mix with water and water the plant.

If you water regularly (not over watering) and fertilize etc they are quite easy to grow so don't worry too much.

I had a OK room with a fantastis view. I was positively surprised about the service at the Hotel. Especially the All Inclusive was good. The food was OK. Cleaning OK. In total: I had a very nice stay at the Hotel, and I will surely come back, perhaps already in November, when I am at Costa del Sol the next time for business.

My boyfriend and I and another couple have just returned from a 4 night stay at the Gardenia Park. We had a great time - the hotel is impeccably clean, really good food, nice bedrooms, friendly staff and good facilities. Located on the beach made a nice morning and afternoon walk along the shore. The hotel is a 5/10 minute taxi journey from the main hustle and bustle of nightlight which was perfect for us also.

Stayed at the Gardenia Park at the end of May 2006. It was my first visit to the hotel although several family members have stayed before and recommended it. The hotel was extremely clean, the reception staff were very helpful and the bar staff friendly day and night. We had several young children in our group who thought it was great to help themselves to ice cream(i think the record was 8 in one day ).

The pool area was more than adequate, plenty of sunbeds and parasols (no need to get up early with the towels...Richard !)

and the entertainment team always on hand to get people into the holiday spirit.

The surrounding area was very quiet, which suited us with it being a family holiday but it was only a fifteen minute walk into the livlier parts of the resort.

The breakfast was excellant and the rest of the food was fine although a little repepitive at times.

Hopefully are party of 14 will be returning next year.

The Gardenia Park Hotel was fab. Food was excellent and plentiful. The staff work so hard and are very friendly. The rooms nearly all have a sea view, which was great. The rooms are cleaned daily. Entertainment was ok, but could have been better for both adults and children. I think Hotel is really good, but I would prefer a better location. It is inbetween Benalmadena and Fuengirola, which we preferred to be nearer to either resort, although there are plenty of buses. The Hotel has 50-50 English and Spanish. We did find some of the Spanish people staying in the Hotel (not the staff, they were lovely) quite ignorant, and arrogant even with small children, and I cannot understand that as we put a lot of money into their country, but there you go!.

I would definately recommend The Gardenia, if you do not want to be in the centre of a resort.

This is the second time my family and I have stayed at the Gardenia Park and yet again we had a fab holiday.

The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff that do the cleaning are so discreet you almost miss them moving around the hotel.

The food was great again, and of course being all inclusive all drinks and ice creams were readily available.

The hotel entertainment team this year are fantastic yet again. They made the children very welcome and helped and encouraged them in all of the activities, even helping my children who where among the youngest taking part in the activities (3%26amp;5) to win certificates and medals.

Thanks to all the staff at the Gardenia Park for another FAB holiday!

Gardenia Park is a good hotel.

The rooms were nice with air conditioning and very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The view from the balcony was lovely.

The gardens were pleasant and well maintained.

I just have a few gripes, which probably wouldn't be an issue if it wasn't at peak season when we stayed.

We went all inclusive. Food was ok, but meal times very stressful. The dinning rooms seemed to be very busy regardless of what time you choose to dine. So secureing a table became an art form!

The pool area was quite over crowded as well.

It probably isn't worth paying for branded drinks. My boyfriend purchased baileys, and was not very happy when it appeared to have been watered down!

The hotel is quite large, and we were on the ninth floor, which was not a problem for us, but if you have children below the age of 10,I would suggest you request a room on a lower floor. As not that safe for small children.

My sister who was in the next room with her family. Taped up the balcony doors for peace of mind.

The Gardenia Park was overall ok.

What flowers can I wear in my hair for my wedding?

Some people suggested Orchids, but I'm not thrilled with that idea. I like Gardenias, but I hear they smell too strong and offensive. Maybe Magnolias? I want something medium to large sized and a white or ivory color. Any suggestions?

How did gardenia get its name?

Gardenia is a genus of about 250 species of flowering plants in the family Rubiaceae, native to the tropical and subtropical regions of Africa, southern Asia, Australasia and Oceania.

The genus was named by Carolus Linnaeus after Dr Alexander Garden (1730-1791), Scottish-born American naturalist.

How do I care for an indoor Gardenia?

Okay, so I bought a Gardnia plant a week ago, and I'm beginning to realize I'm in big trouble. It's not blooming even though it has about 10 buds on it. I've made sure the soil is moist, and it gets the right amount of sun. The leaves look wonderful, and it's about 3 1/2 gallons, maybe 2 feet high. It just doesn't want to open for me. The problem is, I live in the desert (Arizona), so could this be why it doesn't want to bloom? I do mist it every three days to give it some humidity. I take it outside at night for a couple of hours, but I don't leave it (it gets in the 50's). My dad, who has the worst green thumb, and has managed to kill every plant imaginable..lol.., managed to keep his gardenia alive. All he does is water it. Am I missing something?

How do I care for an indoor Gardenia?
Nope. Mist it every day. They like humidity. Place a dish under it with water in it, too. They are also heavy feeders. Give it some acidic food about every 3 weeks.
Reply:I believe it. A lot of people selling plants today are hardly knowledgeable;un like professional nurserymen who have devoted their lives to studying and caring for plants. Good luck with it; they are beautiful plants. You can also look up their care at your local library. Report It

How do you care for a gardenia?????

I've pampered my gardenia like a baby, still it's not growing. I've put it in the ground, put in a pot, followed all directions on the label, still it's not growing. It always has yellow leaves. I've added iron and acid supplements, in addition to regular feeding with fertilizers. Help, please!!

How do you care for a gardenia?????
listen..... stop with the fertilizer, and other stuff ur putting in the soil! ur killing the poor thing with too much "love!" now, water it once a week ...with "plain" water only!!! they like to have the soil on the dry side. u might want to flush out the chemicals with water over the next three days..... just water it with "plain" water till u can see it come out the bottom of the pot..... after doing this for the next three days back off to just once a week! good luck..... and put the fertilizer and stuff away!!!! seriously...i've done the same thing soooo many times, trust me!
Reply:Thank you, Robert. I have started following your advice and am excited to wait for the results. Report It

Reply:Good luck. Mine got the yellow leaves also. I think they need lots of water. When spring got here I put mine outside, will see how it does. Check under the leaves for bugs, mine had them %26amp; I think thats why the leaves yellowed.

dermatitis

What is it, exactly, that gardenias like?

Full sun, lots of water, like roses, or part shade, or dryer conditions, like lavendula?

What is it, exactly, that gardenias like?
Full sun and plenty of water will work best. High humidity is certainly a plus, but don't mist the plant as it is susceptible to fungal rot on the leaves. Fertilize in spring/summer with an acid fertilizer.

The main problem with gardenias is bud drop - where the flowers will drop off just before opening. Gardenias are picky so this could be due to over or under watering, excessive dryness and/or heat, or even just moving the plant if it's potted.

The gardenia is a princess, and should be treated as such. =]

When are Gardenias in Season?

I live in Florida. Do you know when Gardenias will start to be sold at places like Lowes or Home Depot? Haven't been able to find anywhere. I'm looking for a bush.

Thanks!

When are Gardenias in Season?
like i think in the spring

Can anyone help me?I cant get into the old chateau because I cant cut trees.....as I dont know where gardenia is,can anybody tell me where she is?

How do you get into the old chateau in pokemon pearl?
gardenia is hidden in the pokemon gym in the city, go through the dark hole folowed by trees, then find the pokemon gym you have to find and batlle 3 girls, easy if high leveled and she will appear, and you can use cut
Reply:ok well basically go 2 eterna city. then go back in eterna forest from eterna city's entrance. then go cut down the trees that u see first. then go up from ther and ul see the building dude. its that simple.they help me with all of my probs. It's the place where you get Rotom. First, you need the National Dex. Go upstairs into the room with 2 pink beds. Leave the room. Battle 4 or more Gastly. Go downstairs and A button the statue. Go into the door in the middle of the room. You will see a man (I think he is the ghost of the previous owner). Go upstairs and go into the door on the right of the door facing you. There will be a girl. She will walk away. Go out of the room. Go into the door 2 doors to the left of the one you just exited. A button the TV. A rotom will jump out. It is also the place where you get one Old Gateau. Go up the left stairs and into the room.
Reply:i had it gardania is in her gym once you beat all of them

and then beat her.

Which pale cream paint for our extension?

We want to paint our 4 room extension in a nice pale cream off/white shade that will go with everything. We have friends who used Dulux Gardenia and that's nice but there are so many similar shades out there it's really hard to choose from a colour-chart.

Has anyone here used this kind of shade of Dulux or Crown paint for their room(s) and can recommend it? Or any painter-decorator thoughts?

By the way, it must be Dulux or Crown and definitely not magnolia.

Which pale cream paint for our extension?
A mate painted a ladies room with Magnolia and when she saw it and asked what colour it was (she didn't want magnolia) he said "French Cream".

She loved it and said "That's much better than Magnolia".

I know Magnolia is the Skoda of paints but just paint it Magnolia and tell everyone it's French Cream.

Problem is, she'll be trying everywhere to get a colour match pot made up for touch ups !!

How well does the color white show up in a tattoo?

I was thinking of getting a gardenia flower tattoo as a memorial to my g-ma ... but the flower has white petals and I don't know how well it will last. I have fairly medium toned skin - definately not pale but not too bronze either. I know tatts fade a lil over time, but how well do you think the white would remain? THANKS

How well does the color white show up in a tattoo?
A section of my tattoo design was white and the first thing my artist said to me was it isn't going to show up well. It was important to me that the section remain white so we discussed how it could be done. He ended up doing the section white, but used a lot of light shades of gray around it %26amp; on it to give it depth and make it visable. So it's white, but not really a pure white. It looks great.

I'm not sure if the same shading would work well for your gardenia as it might make it look like it's wilting or dead.

Best suggestion would be to go talk to an artist about it. They would be able to tell you the pros %26amp; cons and whether it would show up well on your skin based on your skin color.
Reply:if you have a lighter complexion..it probably won't show up that well. White is mostly used for shading purposes.
Reply:White ink is mainly used for highlighting only. If you get a large area done in white, it will typically turn yellow-ish with age - usually within 2-3 years. Maybe do the flower in black %26amp; gray - you can get the detail in without worrying about the white issue.
Reply:i have a white outline around the black on my tattoo.. it shows up due to the contrast..

i'm not sure how well it would show up on it's own though..
Reply:it doesnt
Reply:white is usually used to make other colours pop out more
Reply:i disagree, my husband is pretty pastey white and has white in his tat, think about it, your skin is way more pink than white
Reply:Tattoo artists love me, as I have the lightest skin you have ever seen. I had a tattoo done 10 years ago that had white in it, and you can still see it, but in many cases they skip the white unless it is for shading on top of another color.
Reply:white is a hard color to work with generally. I'm really pale and the white just fades into my skin tone. i think if you were medium skinned it would probably show up decently.
Reply:Depends on your pigment I would say - haven't seen it much.
Reply:Think of a tattoo design like a woodblock print. "White" is the negative space.
Reply:I have blue and white wings on my feet and though you can see the white it is very faint. It faded far more dramatically after healing than the blue did. I really like the subtleness of the white in comparison to other colors. However, with a larger expanse of white I'm not sure what the end result would really look like. I would suggest going to a shop and telling them what you want to gain suggestions and further your idea.

I have a gardenia that is making me pull my hair out. The funny farm has me penciled in for pick up next Thurs

Anyway for my question, my gardenia has a pale yellow/white flaky substance on the stems. Could be dirt, could be another thing for me to pop another Zanax about. Any ideas on what this flaky substance (looks like dry skin) could be?

I have a gardenia that is making me pull my hair out. The funny farm has me penciled in for pick up next Thurs
Xanax is not the answer. How about a fungicide and the correct care for a gardenia? They like morning sun, afternoon shade in hot areas, and a gentle misting in the morning. Also, feed them well with acidic food and you may be surprised!
Reply:Hi:

I agree with the first answer. I am a landscaper and designer and Gardenias can get a fungus like you described. Go to a chain store or a garden center and get a fungicide for your Gardenia. Different geographic locations will have different brands. The fungicide should take care of the problem. Good luck. I will link you to the site map of my website. New gardenia and turning leaves?

We just bought 3 small gardenia plants which are still in their original plastic pots. I have been keeping them in a small indoor greenhouse under florescent light during the colder/cloudy days and putting them outside on warmer days. The buds are developing well but the smaller leaves around the buds are light green while all the other larger ones are very dark green. I'm afraid they are turning yellow. What's causing this?

I used acidic fertilizer with tap water today, and will use distilled the rest of this week. The soil is well drained and moist... and the air humid. Am I doing something wrong?

New gardenia and turning leaves?
Probably too much water. There are many pre-mix fertilizers for gardenias that work well. This is a good time for fertilizing in my zone 9 location.
Reply:Maybe try epsom salt. I live in southeast texas and have a gardenia on the south side of house in a new pot and I recently sprinkled a tablespoon of epsom salt in the soil before it rained and it seems to be making a difference, but my leaves are still not as greeen as they were when I bought it. I've read that they are incredibly sensitive. It seems like you're doing everything right though.

How do I keep my Gardenia alive?

I just went out and bought a Gardenia plant. The flowers haven't sprouted yet, and I have a horrible track record with trying to keep flowers/plants alive, but I saw this plant outside my Grandmothers nursing home garden and immediately fell in love with it. So I went out and bought a medium size one. I didn't think about the fact that I live on a 3rd floor condo. I put the plant outside on the balcony in the sun, but its screened in so It won't get any rain, I know I have to water it but how much and how often? The little ticket that came with it didn't tell me how to take care of it though. I live in South Florida so the weather I think should be good for it right? Also, I am seeing little black ants flocking to it now and am becoming slightly neurotic like an overprotective mother and I freak out everytime I see them crawling all over it; but I don't know if the ants are good for the plant or not? Does anyone have any suggestions?

How do I keep my Gardenia alive?
All I can say to you is if you believe in the power of prayer, now is the time to exercise your belief.
Reply:here's a website with someone havng the same prob and people try to help her so hope it helps
Reply:the ants may be attracted by the sweet smell of the flowers given you in a 3rd floor condo and the plant is on a screened in porch you have no need to worry about beetles or other leaf eating bugs so kudos for that. I have gardenia's planted in the ground and they get bigger every year so if you purchased a medium size plant make sure the pot you plant it in will accommodate the size of the plant a quick look at the size of the bucket it was purchased in will give you an idea of how big the pot needs to be and then some, if the pot you purchased isn't already aerated -(holes on the bottom) throw some mid size rocks in the bottom before adding the soil insuring it will always have some back up water just in case. like most plants about once a week watering should do, and given its status of living in a screened in atmosphere i think it should thrive on the fresh air partial shade is best.and just check on occasion how the soil feels to the touch and remember it might be something that will need replanting as it gets bigger or it can be pruned, Pruning should be done just after the plant finishes blooming. Pruning after October 1st decreases next year's blooms. i hope this info helps I've my plants and the sweet smell they give off is so wonderful they are a pleasure to care for and own good luck growing

Is there an easy way to determine which plants do well with leftover coffee grounds.?

I use the free give away from Starbucks and combine with soil for azaleas and gardenias. Those plants do well with the addition.Any other plants that could benefit too?

Is there an easy way to determine which plants do well with leftover coffee grounds.?
Yes, the plants that tolerate acidic conditions work best with leftover coffee grounds. If you want to mix it with a little lime, you can use this mixture with other plants as well. Rhododendrons would work.
Reply:Plants in the Ericaceous family do well in acid soils. Plants in that family include azaleas, rhododendrons, blueberries, wintergreen, erica, and kalmia. There are many other plants that are in other families, but it depends on where you live, which will dictate what you can grow and it depends on what you want to grow!

More plants include:

Honeysuckle, porcelain berry, grapes, abelia, fuschia, ixora, big leaf hydrangea, tibouchina, hellebore, iris, miscanthus, etc.....
Reply:peppers do found that out here
Reply:Any acid loving plant will do well. You might also try Camellias and fuchsias.

Best fertilizer organic for house plants?

I have been using organic fertilizer for months now and nothing seems to be greening up my leaves. I have gardenias, citrus trees and jasmine and the flowers are ubundant though. I have been all kinds of fish fertilizers and especially Neptunes Harvest and yet leaves are still light green to yellow. I have been told Organic is too low in nutrient for plants needs..What is the strongest Organic that fills all the house plants requirements for deep green leaves and flowers? I am tired of supplementing stuff like Epsom salt and others to hopefully think That it will help the organic not working for me.

Best fertilizer organic for house plants?
What you are talking about is low nitrogen in the soil. Yes, some organic fertilizers are low in those nutrients but they are usually slow release too. That means they will not burn the plants. In addition, adding nitrogen can mean that your flowers will fall off or not bloom at all. You don't want to add anything with nitrogen when your flowers are blooming.

Look for signs of disease as well. It might not be a fertilizer problem. Sometimes mildew or molds will also lighten leaves as well. I suggest worm casings (worm poop), some of the best organic fertilizer around.
Reply:It depends on the plants, The species I mean, but generally homemade compost will prove invaluable.
Reply:Yellow leaves, poke rusty nails in the dirt around the plants. I would have suggested Coperas and MiracleGro, but you're doing the organic thing. Fish emulsion and Epsom salts are the best I know if you are set on using organic.
Reply:Home grown compost is your best bet.

The organic fertilizers are not better for your plants in the sense of making them grow better, they are just better options for the environment because they are void of those harsh chems.

Is the gardenia in the right place?

when i bought my home 3 yrs ago there was a gardenia planted under my dining room window. during that time it has grown larger but with very few blooms. i live in corpus christi tx and it gets the late afternoon sun. it's pretty big now and i would like to know how better to take care of it so i get as many blooms as i can. how much and how often should i water? i water all my other plants in the morning so as to let them absorb as much of the water as they can. how much water do they need? and do you think it's planted in the best spot for the best results? transferring it now would be impossible. i would have to kill it off (how do i do that if i had to?) and then plant something else there that would thrive in that spot (ideas?)....then find another spot for a gardenia. help. i am now confused. thanks.

Is the gardenia in the right place?
add some coffee grinds. gardeinas need acid to bloom. also you are lucky they had a few blooms considering the soil has little acid becuase many people have no blooms for many many years unless outside.

also they like plant food such as miracle grow. when in flower water less as well as in winter
Reply:Gardenias enjoy either full sun or partial sun. Stay away from sidewalks or driveways too near the home. Keep them at least 3 feet away from the concrete because the concrete has high PH levels. Morning sun is good, and they like to be fed acidic food and be misted each day.

Help needed concerning growing gardenias in Oklahoma. I have tried them year and year and they always die.?

Also have problems with the blossoms dying before they bloom. where should they be planted and cared for?

Help needed concerning growing gardenias in Oklahoma. I have tried them year and year and they always die.?
Remember that gardenias are relatively tropical which means they have a narrow comfort band (no extremes)... Here's what I found "Proper temperatures are necessary for a gardenia to bloom. This is the most critical aspect. Flower buds will fail to form if day temperatures are higher than 70degrees or night temperatures are over 65 degrees or less than 60 degrees. The ideal temperature ranges would be 65 to 70 degrees during the day and 60 to 62 degrees at night." AND

"Another problem encountered is "bud drop." Flower buds abort and drop off just before they open. Common causes include low humidity, overwatering, underwatering, insufficient light and high temperatures (night temperatures between 50 and 55 ° F are necessary for the formation of flower buds)."
Reply:It's my understanding that gardenias are rather tropical. Therefore, they are suppose to die in Oklahoma.

Consider keeping them in a pot and bringing them indoors in the winter.
Reply:yeah we have this crappy red soil in oklahoma. plus it gets really hot in the summer and really cold in the winter
Reply:I have that problem in Ohio. It could be animals or it could just be the soil. They should be planted in full sun, no sun Etc. (however specified on pot of label). May I suggest Miracle Grow. It really helped me!

Does anyone know of a Gardenia fragranced perfume similar to the following...?

I fell in love with Sonia Kashuk's Gardenia No.1, which was exclusively at Target. However, a year ago, it was discontinued. I stumbled upon Bodycology's White Gardenia body spray at Wal-Mart and it is a dead ringer. The problem is, it is merely a body spray and I want a cologne or perfume for a longer lasting concentration. I've smelled Bath %26amp; Body Works' gardenia scent and it is nothing like the other two. Does anyone know of a gardenia perfume that is the same as the Sonia Kashuk and Bodycology one?

Gardenia Bridal Bouquet and Ideas for centerpieces?

I really want a gardenia and lily bouquet. I've heard from some people gardenias are a Winter flower, %26amp; from some they aren't. (The wedding is 12/28/08.) So which is it? According to google, it is a winter flower. I'm just not sure. They always seem to bloom around here at the end of Summer. Also, what could I add to the bouquet to give it some color? My colors are marine blue and platinum. Would a simple silver ribbon be okay, or should I have more?

Also, I'm looking for some cute ideas for centerpieces. I really like the idea of floating candles...maybe?

Thanks in advance!

Gardenia Bridal Bouquet and Ideas for centerpieces?
Gardenias are a summer flower here. I had them in my bouquet. I had a totally white bouquet with just some greenery for color. It was beautiful. If you want some color, I would do the silver ribbon.

Our colors were navy blue and silver. We used some navy blue watermarked fabric and painted silver glitter paint in a star pattern on it and used that as the base for our centerpiece. Then we put two yellow and one white mini rose bushes or vice versa in color on the fabric with votive candles around them. The silver on the fabric caught the flicker of the candles and reflected off of it. They were gorgeous. We then let guests take the mini rose bushes home. Except for one white and one silver wich we still have growing in our rose garden 6 years later.
Reply:I would just use a simple ribbon for the bouquet. If you like floating candles you could just get glass beads or pebbles that were platinum or marine blue and fill the bottom of the vase/container just to add color and then just fine floating candles that looked like gardenias or flowers.
Reply:My mom had a gardenia corsage at my wedding. We got married December 4 so you should be fine at the end of the month. I'm assuming that you know gardenias and some lilys are very fragrant? I can't stand their smell, so I like to point that out in case someone doesn't know.
Reply:I don't know. We are trying to figure out the same thing. Maybe you should just have a spring summer wedding. You could probably just buy them in season and freeze them until December. The floating candles are a good idea just make sure not to set fire to the wedding venue with the candles.
Reply:I think the gardenia is very beautiful for your bouquet, and for the centerpieces I was also going to tell you about the floating candles, thats very cute I went to a wedding with their centerpieces being floating candles and I thought that was very nice.
Reply:OOOh, gardenias! they smell so good, and are such a classy flower, you could use them all by themselves, and it would be great. For the centerpiece, I would have a clear small short vase, and a bunch of gardenias in it. If you wish to have a ribbon, sure, go to the florist and ask, and have him make up a bouquet with those ribbons.

Or go to the artificial flower/craft store, grab some fake gardenias, go to the ribbon rack and pick up the two colors, and experiment on your own.

Gee, I always thought they were a spring or early summer flower, but I'm from Southern Illinois, not The South, what do I know of gardenia season? They are always available at prom time!

Gardenia in a hot dry climate?

Hi live in Dubai where it is sunny, hot and dry most of the time. I have bought some potted plants for my terrace once of which is a Gardenia. Since I have taken delivery of this plant it has proceeded to turn yellow and drop leaves. I've been keeping it moist however it is in full sun and enduring hot temps during the day (35c at this time of year). I was told when I bought it that it could take full sun and heat etc. It was repotted into a much larger pot with a drainage hole at the bottom and delivered to my home. Now I'm wondering if I was misled and that this plant actually needs filtered light and cooler temps. Is there any hope for my Gardenia ? Please help save a life !!!

Gardenia in a hot dry climate?
IT CANNOT TAKE FULL SUN WITH HEAT. KEEP IT IN THE SHADE, AND MAYBE IN EARLY SPRING PUT IT IN FULL SUN SO IT CAN FLOWER. ONCE IT HITS THE 80S in fahrenheit PUT IT IN SHADE AGAIN AND WATER WATER WATER.
Reply:I live in australia and gardenia generaly flower around christmas time (which is our summer) when the temp often hits 40c. I've never known them to grow very well in pots but they thrive in the ground and are a fairly hardy plant. Maybe try a miniature gardenia for a pot.

Try "yates.com.au" for very reliable gardening advice.

What should i do to get my gardenias to bloom?

there about 1 yr old and they always have lots of buds but it never fully blooms.

What should i do to get my gardenias to bloom?
Gardenias need summer heat to thrive and bloom well. Feed every three to 4 weeks with acid plant food.

Good Luck!!

Why is my gardenia turning yellow?

I've seen answers to other posts on this topic but not sure that any of the answers apply to me. The gardenia in question was moved a couple of years ago -- it had 'layered' new roots from a huge and very healthy gardenia that I have in my back yard, so I moved the new roots and growth to the front to make a new plant. It has been fine for two years, although slow growing and hasn't flowered yet (whereas its parent tree is full of blooms right now). Anyway, now, suddenly, the leaves are turning yellow and nothing has changed in terms of watering, its position, fertilizing, etc. EXCEPT that right before the yellowing happened, I had fertilized the azaleas that are in the same bed as it -- with miracle grow azalea fertilizer. But all the answers I read said that the gardenia needs acid -- and isn't that what's in the azalea fertilizer? So why would the azalea fertilizer hurt the gardenia? The azaleas are fine, so there couldn't have been anything wrong with the fertilizer

Why is my gardenia turning yellow?
It is the acid soil problem,l'm afraid. The fertiliser is very mild and can't fight the lime from the tap water. The miracle gro is an additional help, but not in place of limey soil.

Get some ericacious compost.Lift out the gardenia, and completely wash off all the old soil (all of it)leaving just the root.Plant into the fresh compost, and water well.Cut off all sick bits and pull off yellow leaves.

Acid plants can take such radical root disturbance.

If you do zilch, then the new leaves will be healthy at first but turn yellow as the iron sulphate cannot be released from the soil.Use rain water if poss. They are very cold wind sensitive
Reply:your right gardenias do need acid. maybe the reason why your gardenia isnt doning well it because of a bud. any webbing, or white fluffy things under the leaves may be a bug. also white files can cause problems.

if you can maybe move it to where your other gardenia is doing good.

also it is natural for some leaves to yellow, especially after winter, even in a mild climate. see if it worsens
Reply:could be not enough sunlightor to much water
Reply:Found this. Should answer your question hopefully :)

[GARDENIA PESTS %26amp; PROBLEMS

Yellow leaves

One of the most ask questions about Gardenias is the yellowing of older leaves in late winter and spring. This is usually a sign that the plant is moving its magnesium to the new growth. In the beginning of spring feed with Epsom Salts (Magnesium sulphate) will usually solve this problem.

To avoid getting other nutrients out of balance, only apply Epsom Salts no more than once a year.

Gardenia plants that are healthy will grow vigorously and are less likely to be affected by fungus problems. Planted in an ideal position, kept mulch and well fertilised regularly, will help most gardenias to stay robust. Always keep a close examination of the plants and deal with problems as soon as they materialize]

What is the best kind of hose to use to water gardenias?

drip hose...you don't want water on the foliage if at all possible... same goes with all plants for the most part... plus less water will evaporate before it gets to the roots...and the drip hoses water slower to allow the roots to fully hydrate themselves

What is the best kind of hose to use to water gardenias?
How about a water hose. I'd use a light sprayhead on that water hose.

Growing gardenias and gerbera in the midewest?

Can it be done? How to cultuvate?

Growing gardenias and gerbera in the midewest?
Both like full sun. Gardenias like acidic soil, use Epsom Salts and coffee grounds, inexpensive, effective addition. Miracle gro is always a standard for any plant.

Gerberas. Glorious. They can be potted or stuck in the ground. Quite hardy, but hard frosts will kill off folliage. They should come back as the weather warms. If you want to collect seeds to start, they need sunlight to germinate and should be used within a week or two. Older seeds aren't as viable. good luck.
Reply:Gardenias are really tough to grow in the midwest.....If you are in Zone #5 I recommend trying them inside first. By gerbera, I suspect you mean gerber daisies????...again a tough one. I've never seen them get the really long stems they are known for when grown in the midwest. I really like gardenias and substitute Hydrangea for them. They grow really large and thrive in the midwest, but remember, most species only bloom on second year wood. Instead of Gerber daisies, try any other variety....good luck
Reply:i cultivate gerbils!!!!!
Reply:My Gerbera were beautiful last year, though I had them in pots. They are only annuals in the midwest, as the winters are too cold. You could bring them in in the fall. A freak frost killed mine before I could get them inside.

Gardenias....I"d do them in pots, also. Way too cold. I've never had much luck with them. Too finicky for me.

The leaves are thick and hearty. The flowers are clustered around the base of the leaves, close to the stem. The flowers have 4 petals and smell similar to a gardenia.

Sounds to me like it could be an Osmanthus. The variety I have at home--just starting to bloom--is commonly called 'sweet olive.'

See picture of one Osmanthus species in the link.

Purchase the property at Gardenia Houston ,tx 77018 zip listed on realty trac?

Your question is very vague. What is it you are trying to ask?

When do gardenias bloom?

Just bought a couple of gardenia bushes for my garden and was wondering what time of the year do they bloom. Also would like to know how to properly care for them (if there are any do's and dont's for gardenias). i live in New Orleans so we have a very warm humid climate. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

When do gardenias bloom?
There are several species but most bloom in early summer. I have one variety called 'August Beauty' that has a heavy bloom of medium sized flowers in June and then a repeat of larger flowers in late Aug-early Sept. The humid night air in August carries that heddy frangrance at least a hundred yards. I live in coastal Virginia and I am sure you will have a different bloom time than I do. My plants are situated so that they get full sun until about mid-day and then go into a dappled shade. As far as Miracid, That is an old name. It is a Miracle Grow product that now goes simply as Miracle Grow for Acid Loving Plants. I think the box has pink or purple trim. It is a good product and will help keep your Gardenia's leaves dark green and glossy.
Reply:I live in new orleans also.I have several gardenias that are in full bloom and have been for several weeks. All I do is make sure they are watered and I use miracle-gro once every 2-3 weeks.
Reply:I live in southeastern Virginia and mine blooms right around high school graduation time. Mid to early June. No idea how to care for them all I ever done was clip it after blooming.

Gardenia oil for hair??

I recently received a bottle of gardenia oil. It says it is good for the hair but does not say how to use it? Does anyone have any experience with this?

Gardenia oil for hair??
1. Brush dry hair (and scalp) thoroughly with a boar bristle brush.

2. Taking one inch sections, of dry unwashed hair, apply oil liberally to the point of saturation, (Never apply oil to wet hair). Work it in with your fingers, concentrating one inch from the scalp through the ends. (For dry scalp, massage oil directly onto the scalp, then work through ends.) Comb through with a fine tooth comb. For additional benefit, heat oiled hair with a blow dryer for two minutes, or under a professional dryer for twenty minutes, high heat. For dry to damaged hair, deep conditioning and / or dry scalp, leave on for twenty minutes to fifteen hours, as desired.

For Leave On

Dry 20-45 min.

Dry to Damaged 45 min.-2 hrs.

Deep Conditioning 2 hrs.-15 hrs.

Will grass and weed killer hurt my gardenias?

I have 2 gardenias in my front yard and I am getting ready to build a small box around them and fill it with mulch. If I spray grass and weed killer to kill the grass growing around them will it hurt the bushes?

Will grass and weed killer hurt my gardenias?
it is very likely that the weed killer will. Herbicides don't usually discriminate between types of plants. Your best bet would be to cut the grass very very short, get some weed barrier cloth, place it around the base of the plants, build the box, add the mulch....
Reply:it depends on the kind of weed killer you get, some will others won't.
Reply:No, if you don't get any on them.

On quite alot of my houseplants, the roots have started showing above the soil?

I re-pot them every year and water them regularly so i dont know what is causing this. any ideas? It's happened on my dragon trees, my gardenia and a couple of others

On quite alot of my houseplants, the roots have started showing above the soil?
It sound like your plant could be needing a bigger pot. Though this may not be the case as you say that you re-pot them every year. You may also be bearing them when they are watered. This should not be a problem, however keep an eye on them and watch out for any signs that the plant is in distress so that you can take action. Sorry if this is not much help. I have plants that do this to and all are still in good health.
Reply:Some house plants are vigorous growers and have good root balls and really need to be put in bigger pots, but you could trim the roots.
Reply:Perhaps you are watering them too much and the roots are growing up to get out of the water in the bottom. Make sure you have drainage holes and a layer of drainage stones at the bottom of the pot.

Hope this helps
Reply:They are just growing really well is all, plant in bigger than normal pots that you would use, then maybe you wouldnt have to repot so often
Reply:they need potting on you obviously are looking after you plants brilliantly, well done.
Reply:It's not the right time of year to repot. But you can topdress with some more compost, if you have enough headroom
Reply:Because they are happy and growing fast. Dont let them go too pot bound.
Reply:you have to re-pot it from time to time because they're growing bigger.

Are Chinese Asters a pain to keep growing?

I'm thinking of putting asters in between my two gardenia bushes in front of my house. If you have these growing, do you have to move them every year? And are they really prone to diseases? What other plants do you have them growing with?

Are Chinese Asters a pain to keep growing?
they can get floppy - and need support. But they bloom when few other things do (at least here in Detroit) so I put up with them anyway ;)
Reply:They'll do fine, you can prune them to the size you want. Leave them establish a good root system, usually three years, then you can divide them.

Kung Fu school

How do I prune gardenias?

How/when do I prune big "leggy" gardnias. Mine are too airy and need for fullness and thickness so you can't see through them so much. They are probably 3-4 feet tall.

How do I prune gardenias?
I pruned mine by cutting back maybe 6-9 inches on some until I found a good 'fork' on the branch. It did them good and they bloomed well. It maybe that they are lacking something in the soil. So might be a good idea to call a local nursery or do a online/library search.

What kind of fertilizer is appropriate for gardenias_?

Osmocote is a slow release fertilizer for 3 months. I use it for everything. Happy Fertilizing!!

What kind of fertilizer is appropriate for gardenias_?
Gardenias like an acidic soil, so I feed mine Miracid(made by the Miracle Grow company, I think). If I don't use it occasionally, the leaves end up getting very pale yellow.

Are Gardenias an acid loving plant?

I have some fertilizer for Azailiers(???spelling) but woundered if the gardinias might like it too, are they also acid liking plants?

Are Gardenias an acid loving plant?
Epsom salts sprinkled around the drip line, water in. Coffee grounds and/or tea bags. Good old MiracleGro. Cuttings will root in water or use rootone and plunk in soil.

Reply:Yes,

Coffee grounds and egg shells too

Azalea.

Same food.

Good
Reply:Yes. May I suggest the Southern Living Complete Gardening Guide. If you live anywhere in the south (upper or lower) it is a great guide. It tells you everything you need to know and breaks the zones down by zone and climate. This book has never failed me and greenish brown thumb. : - )
Reply:Yes!
Reply:Yes, gardenias love acid based foods. Your good azalea food will suffice. They are not very cold hardy however, so up north do well as a potted and solarium plant.

Can Hyacinths grow in clay soil?

I was in Home Depot and I saw this beautiful pink hyacinth with its heavenly fragrance. At $2.50, I just had to get it. I would like to plant it in front of my house with my gardenia bushes but can they grow in clay soil? Do I need to amend the soil? I'm near Atlanta, GA with all this dang red clay soil. Its a full sun location, too.

Can Hyacinths grow in clay soil?
Mix in some sharp grit/sand, also place a little bed of sand below bulb when planting, this allows the base/roots of the bulb to avoid water logging. They also do well in large troughs/pots, again well drained soil is the secret for hyacinths. They self-seed in my part of England, with light sandy soil. After flowering remove dead flower stalk/seed head, but let leaves die back naturally - DO NOT cut leaves off.
Reply:I love the smell of hyacinths. I got some for Easter and the blooms are dieing already. No, I wouldn't plant them in clay soil. Bulbs need to be in loose well drained soil. You can buy a bag of good potting soil or compost(if you don't have any)and replace that spot with the soil. I have a similair problem here. The full sun may cause a problem too.
Reply:Hyacinths perform best in an open, sunny or partially-shaded position with fertile, well-draining soil. You will need to add peat moss to the soil and also put gravel or sand into the trench/hole to promote better drainage.

Good luck!

Is it true when growing Gardenias?

That they grow better when you put coffee grounds around them?

I heard this many, many years ago and just planted two gardenia bushes and want them really grow beautifully!

Thanks and God bless ;0)

Is it true when growing Gardenias?
Sure anything acidic. Coffee grounds, tea bags, wood ash, epsom salts (very cheap effective fertilizer for acid lovers) Also rusty nails spoked in the ground , gardenias like copperas (expensive fertilizer) and rusty metal is a good substitute. Don't forget the Miraclegro.

They set their next buds after blooming and going to seed, that's when you prune. They'll start in water and by laying a branch on the ground and weighting it down (brick).

Love the scent. My girls are packed with buds.

enjoy
Reply:I have come across advice for using coffee powder as fertilizer for acid-loving plants.I am not sure whether Gardenias are acid loving. However, at home it was usual for us to use strained tea leaves and coffee powder as home made fertilizers for domestic flower plants.

Gardenia perfume?
Marc Jacobs. It's not too popular that everyone wears it, but it's a beautiful classic with a following. He has 2 Gardenia based perfumes. The original and essence. I have the first one and love it. It really lasts, and it's lovely year round. Very elegant and chic. It's not obnoxious floral either. The theme of this one is gardenia's floating on water.

How to Grow Gardenias from cuttings?

Hi there! a friend of mine gave me some cuttings from his gardenias. at the moment i have them in a cup with some water, i dont have any growth hormone powder, but i was wondering if anyone has any tips on how to grow them, do i have to add any fertilizer into the potting mix. thank you all.

How to Grow Gardenias from cuttings?
I personally like the Dip N Grow Hormone Gel. It works great and you should start to notice significant root and stalk development in 1-2 weeks. Any kind of anti wilt spray half diluted can be applied to maintain healthy looking leaves untill the root base takes hold. Also, If at all possible keep the cuttings in evenly moist soil with not not much water, and some sort of clear humidity dome over them. If you have a dome covering the cuttings then the amount of times you have to water will be reduced ALOT, and the plants will maintain a healthier luster while the develop a root system.

As a side note, make sure when you are taking cuttings or planting cuttings, that you trim any excess node sticking off the side of the stalk with a clean razor blade. This will help prevent the growth of mold and fungus by preventing the cutting from rotting at the base where it was once attached to the mother plant.

Hope this helps!
Reply:Clear container of water....you should see roots in 1-2 weeks, then transplant to pots.

Reply:Propagated by greenwood cuttings in spring or by semi-ripe cuttings in summer. Prefers humus rich, well-drained neutral to acid soil. Takes full sun or partial shade. Best with regular irrigation, soil be kept moist in summer. Sensitive to iron deficiency.

Now, before to start the planting that make sure you got a good planting soil mixture includes superphosphate fertilizer / soil sulphur / processed chicken manure / sequestrene / slow release compund %26amp; peat humus. With that soil mixture can start. Now, I suggest to put first in small pot and try cover a plastic with small holes to evaporate. Avoid over watering for about one week.

My gardenia topiary won't bloom...?

It's a small topiary, in a small pot. As per the instructions it came with, I keep the soil moist but not wet, and I don't let it get dry. It has maybe 5-6 buds that look good sized and healthy, but haven't opened up yet. I've had the plant (in it's current healthy condition) for about three weeks. I've tried putting a little bit of liquid fertilizer on it and it has stayed exactly the same. It isn't losing any leaves or buds, it just won't bloom.

My gardenia topiary won't bloom...?
Blooming is triggered by the length of night/darkness. Some plants such as mums are very - very sensitive to this. Your gardenia may be out of cycle and somewhat confused about the length of night especially if it has been moved as you have had it for only 3 weeks.

Why are all my plants dying?

Ok, it has been hot in SoCal but come on. Almost all of my plants are dying. My gardenia is pretty dead. My elephant ears that I have currently in shade have yellowing leaves. My philadenron has areas on it's large leaves that are also turning really light. I think I may be overwatering but it's been so hot. The soil feels dry so I water.

My elephant ears, philadendron and split philadendrom are all on my porch in shade.

Anyone know where I can take a gardening class in San Gabriel at a low cost? Thanks!

Why are all my plants dying?
Heat shock. Also are you watering with city water? The chlorine and calcium can form salts that toxify the plants and leach the nutrients out of the soil, or sand. Instead of watering endlessly, try a thick mulch to stop evaporation, and leaching. Water at night. Watering in bright sunlight will sunburn your plants.
Reply:You might have mites or other insects infesting the plants. This happens especially when the plants are under stress because of heat, drought, etc. You may need to spray. Check with your local garden center for advice as well.

Any experts on growing Gardenias out there?

I have two small bushes that I thought were dead and then during a drought of all times, they came back. However, they are still small and rarely bloom. I have tried conventional tactics. Is there a secret to making them grow and bloom beautifully. I LOVE the heavenly aroma.

Any experts on growing Gardenias out there?
We grow and sell alot of gardenias in our nursery in North Carolina.Gardenias thrive in warm areas of the US. They do not tolerate cold below 10 F. They need to be covered if the temps fall below 15 degrees or so to prevent damage to the foliage. gardenia are mot drought tolerant, they need ample water during dry periods. They also do not like wet feet, they need well-drained soil. Don't plant them too deep outside. Use a fertilizer designed for Azaleas and Camellias as gardenias love acidic soils. You could try to boost yours with some liquid fertilizer that contains acid. Don't look for much improvement until it warms up and the spring brings new growth. You may have to trim your gardenias back if they have alot of dead limbs, but I'd wait to see how much they come out in the spring.
Reply:I had a gardenia that I planted in a container on our front porch one year. It LOVED the sunlight that came mid-day and lasted throughout the afternoon, and definitely liked a drink of water every day in hot weather. I fed it with azalea food and it went crazy.

I totally agree with Dr NC's answer -- although I'm not a doctor, and I don't live in NC!

I am looking for information on a painting by H Dudley Murphy stillife of gardenias?

The print is quite old and from my grandmother's house. The flowers are vivid and the background muted. The flowers look to be in a bronze pot, sitting on a cloth covered table.

I am looking for information on a painting by H Dudley Murphy stillife of gardenias?
I had a better search-result, when I used his full name: Hermann Dudley Murphy. It is interesting that you have a print. I am going to take a leap of faith, and speculate that it may suggest that the original is in the public domain. Perhaps a musum.

Short Bio: Hermann Dudley Murphy, American, b. Marlborough, MA, 1867, d. Lexington, MA, 1945.

"A painter of quiet, sunlit landscapes and refined still lifes, Hermann Dudley Murphy was a significant figure in the Boston School of Painting in the early twentieth century. Hermann Dudley Murphy was a portrait and landscape painter, art teacher, frame designer and illustrator born in Marlborough, MA in 1867. He studied at the Boston Museum School under Tarbell, Benson and DeCamp and at the Academie Julien in Paris. Known as a "Tarbellite" because he best emulated academic tradition with impressionism, Murphy became an Associate (1930) and an Academician (1934) of the National Academy and he was a member of the Boston Art Club, the Guild of Boston Artists, the National Arts Club, Boston Society of Watercolor Painters, the Copley Society, the Massachusetts State Art Commission, Painters %26amp; Sculptors Gallery Association, Woodstock Art Association and more. His work is represented at the Art Institute of Chicago, the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, National Academy of Design, Albright Art Gallery of Buffalo, Dallas Museum of Fine Arts, Cincinnati Museum of Art, and the St. Louis Art Museum."

Best find: One of the most well-regarded authorities on this era of American art/artists, is this gallery:

http://www.jamesgrahamandsons.com/?fuse=... They published a book of the Hermann Dudley Murphy Exhibition in 1982. They would be a good place to contact.

1. A good place to begin the search, is at Amazon books. This artist is a well regarded artist, and there may be some references to art books that include his work.

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw/102...

2. Artprice website, lists a number of his paintings, under their auction results. I am not a member, so I can't see the detail.

http://web.artprice.com/ps/artitems.aspx...

You might notice, the first entry is a still life of a gardenia. This is not your painting, as the composition is different than your painting. It is probably that this was one of a series, using this subject matter of a gardenia. His floral paintings, were/are exquisite.

3. The AskArt, does indeed, have information on this artist; as well as a number of image pages. I am not a subscriber. However, if you are subscribe as a student, you can have 24 hours of access for $11.95. Or sign up for a month for $20.00

I don't know if this is a reasonable cost, to see the details on their images. And of course, there is no guarantee that your print, will be included in their database.

http://www.askart.com/AskART/artists/sea...

4. The Vose Gallery, is a very reputable Boston gallery.

http://www.vosegalleries.com/history/ind...

As this gallery specializes in the Boston School of painters, this may be a good lead, to make contact with someone who can give you additional information about your print.

5. Catalogues:

You may find your print, and related details, in the catalog of Hermann Dudley Murphey's work, that was produced after his death.

Reference: Catalogue created for the 1945 “Memorial Exhibition of Paintings by H. Dudley Murphy”, at the Guild of Boston Artists

Here is the website for that Guild:

http://www.guildofbostonartists.org/

It may be helpful, to contact them, and ask for help with your particular print.

5. World Wide Art Resources website, lists the galleries and museums that are reported to have his work.

http://wwar.com/masters/m/murphy-hermann...

It takes some patience to work through these few links to museums, and then to check on their holdings for this particular artist.

6. Google searches: using the search words that include,

paintings by Hermann Dudley Murphy. However, I didn't run across anything very helpful.

It is wonderful that you have this print of his work. He is truely a masterful painter, and I have very much enjoyed viewing his landscapes and still life, during this search.

Sorry I was not able to locate the exact image for you. In conclusion, I think your best bet would be to try to get a library (city or university library), to locate and obtain on loan - one of those books listed on the Amazon link. Specifically this one:

Hermann Dudley Murphy (1867-1945): "realism married to idealism most exquisitely" : [exhibition], February 24-April 17, 1982, Graham Gallery (Unknown Binding)

Best regards for your continued search.
